Axiomtek launches new motherboard for industrial PCs

Axiomtek has announced the launch of the PICO500, a compact motherboard designed to support the sixth generational Intel Core processor. The board is designed to operate in rugged situations including extreme temperatures, according to the press release.

The board is designed with a variety of features including:

• compatibility with two input-output boards, USB 3.0, DDI AN UARTS interfaces;
• one USB 2.0 port, 1GB Ethernet, HDMI and LVDS;
• SATA HDD and mSATA storage interfaces; and
• operation in temperatures ranging from -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.

"The Axiomtek PICO500 employs the sixth generation Intel Core processor that provides the best balance between performance and expandability," said Michelle Mi, product manager at Axiomtek. "It combines all advantages for customers who need an embedded board with extremely small form factor, flexible configuration, rich I/O, and high performance."
