Axiomtek, designers and manufacturers of PC-based industrial computer products, announced the arrival of the eBOX625-841-FL, its new industrial-grade, slim-form-factor, fanless embedded system powered by dual-core Intel Atom system-on-chip technology. Dual display interfaces and rich connection capabilities enable the new box to fit in multiple interfaces and provide a solution for a variety applications ranging from digital signage to transportation, kiosks to industrial control automation to medical equipment, the company said.
The eBOX625-841-FL provides users a lighter and thinner option to withstand harsh industry environments. Through the use of Intel Atom E3826 1.46GHz dual-core SoC (Bay Trail) and one 8GB DDR3L-1066/1333 SO-DIMM socket, the rugged embedded box computer offers a powerful, but power efficient, solution.
The eBOX625-841-FL, made of heavy-duty aluminum and steel, is guaranteed reliable under critical environments and operation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C, the company said. The industrial-grade embedded platform has full power protection with OVP, OCP and SCP, and is CE certified. It is also equipped with two display interfaces, VGA and HDMI.
"Axiomtek's new eBOX625-841-FL is based on the eBOX620 series but lighter and thinner. To meet the diverse needs of network and wireless communications , the super slim platform is equipped with two PCI Express mini card slots, one SIM card socket and three SMA-type antenna openings, which are able to support wireless, 3G, LTE Internet modules," said Vincent Ji, product manager for Axiomtek, in the announcement. "Furthermore, two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports are able to support Jumbo Frame and PXE Remote Boot to enhance its connection speed. With more compact appearance and greater affordability, the eBOX625-841-FL not only maintains its high performance but also offers a more competitive price."
The device will be available in December, the company said.
