EVERETT, Wash. - Visitors to the new Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour are on the cutting edge. Not only do they get to see the latest developments in aviation technology, they also get to experience the newest technologies in ticketing.
Seattle, Wash.-based Displayware and Redondo Beach, Calif.-based SeePoint Technology partnered to provide a comprehensive self-service ticketing solution to the newly opened interpretive learning facility. The tickets dispensed by the self-service kiosks control access to the museum and also identify visitors as they move through the exhibits, each digitally designing and testing his or her own airplane.
The self-service solution was developed so Boeing could coordinate admission ticketing through on-site kiosks, ticket counter purchasers, Web site sales and a third-party call center. The operation had to handle credit card purchases and will-call ticket pickup, facilitate group tour ticketing and interface in real-time with the off-site call center and on-site ticket counter sales.
