Automated kiosk gives dry cleaning customers 24/7 access

California dry cleaner Four Seasons Cleaners has introduced a fully automated, 24/7 dry-cleaning drop-off and pickup kiosk at its State Street location in Santa Barbara, according to a press release, marking the first system of its kind in the city and Santa Barbara County.

The self-service system allows customers to leave and retrieve garments at any time using a secure process that includes touchscreen registration, QR codes and text-message verification.

The kiosk enables customers to register, deposit items, receive text notifications when orders are ready and collect cleaned garments without visiting the service counter. Four Seasons Cleaners President Scott Shah said the investment is intended to give customers greater flexibility by allowing them to access dry-cleaning services outside traditional business hours.

Family-owned Four Seasons Cleaners operates three locations in Santa Barbara County, including stores in Santa Barbara, Goleta and Montecito. While the kiosk is available around the clock, the State Street location will continue to offer staffed service during its regular business hours.
