Law enforcement authorities in the Midwest are installing automated breathalyzer kiosks that allow authorities to test low-risk offenders, saving them a lot of time administering the tests, according to a report in The Morning Call.
Thief River Falls, Minn., installed kiosks this month and next month an Indiana county will begin installation. Portage County, Wisconsin, has already conducted more than 70,000 breathalyzer screening tests since 2018.
The kiosks are made by Precision Kiosk Technologies of Edina, Minn.
