Auto Show attendees share opinions at kiosks

April 11, 2002

DETROIT -- Car show visitors will have the opportunity to register their opinions on everything from show parking to the season's hottest new vehicles at kiosks placed throughout the North American International Auto Show Jan. 13-21.

The Polk Co., which has followed the auto industry for 80 years, is gathering the opinions of show-goers using its Trend Center kiosks. Screens on the kiosk beckon automotive enthusiasts to express their opinions while touring the exhibit hall. It's the second year that Polk has conducted the onsite research at Detroit's Cobo Center.

In addition to conducting surveys and compiling results, the Trend Center kiosks broadcast live video of press conferences held at the show.

Polk will use the information it gathers from attendees to provide reports to manufacturers about consumer response to their exhibits and product line. Polk, a Detroit company, supplies statistics and marketing information to the automotive industry.
