Auto insurance available through Circle K kiosks

June 10, 2004

BURNABY, B.C. -- Auto insurance just became more convenient for Phoenix residents. Customers at select Circle K stores throughout the city can renew or apply for insurance through ZapLink kiosks.

Public Access Insurance LLC, a division of Instant Insurance Holdings, partnered with Info Touch Technologies Corp. on the project, according to an Info Touch news release.

Using the public-access ZapLink kiosks, customers can submit questions about auto insurance, receive quotes and purchase insurance on the spot with cash or a credit card.

Info Touch earns revenue from transactions, application hosting and advertising, cash collection fees and software development fees, according to the release.

ZapLink kiosks, which also are deployed in select Philadelphia Circle K stores, offer Internet access, local news and information, maps, directions, advertising and the capacity to download music and other files.

[Editor's note: Info Touch Technologies became Tio Networks in April 2006.]
