Australian town gets 'return and earn' recycling kiosk

A new "return and earn" recycling kiosk provided by the state government has been delivered to the Ballina Fair shopping center in Ballina, Australia, but it is not yet operational because installation measures are not completed, according to The Northern Star.

The shopping center management urged users to be patient.

Joanna Wilkinson, the fair's marketing manager, said the machine was not ready for use because the access ramp and other installation measures have not been finished.

Wilkinson said management would investigate reports of littering and she asked customers to use bins around the shopping center to dispose of bottles until the installation is completed.
