SYDNEY, Australia -- Australia will offer the International Newspaper Kiosk from PEPC Worldwide, a global distributor of digitally transmitted newspapers from newspaper publishers around the world.
The automated newspaper vending machine will be on display this week at Hospitality Live, the Australian Hospitality and Technology Exhibition. Newspoint from Sydney will market the International Newspaper Kiosk in Australia. The company targets high-traffic international venues such as hotels, airport concourses and convention centers throughout the continent.
The kiosk offers travelers visiting Australia 117 newspapers from 47 countries including leading publications such as the International Herald Tribune, USA Today (USA), Die Welt (Germany), Le Monde (France), El Pais (Spain), and Komsomolskaya Pravda (Russia).
Customers can select and pay for their favorite newspapers following four easy steps listed on the kiosk touchscreen. Within two minutes, the latest edition of the newspaper of choice, printed in tabloid format and fastened with three staples, rolls off the press.
The newspapers follow the same content and layout, including photographs and advertisements, as the editions people are used to reading at home.
