AUDIO: NPR reports consumer attitudes toward retail self-checkout

New Hampshire Public Radio: Most people would be surprised to learn that more men use self-service checkout aisles than women. People might also be intrigued to hear representatives of NCR Corp., one of the largest providers of self-service solutions in the world, say that no cashier ever lost his job to a self-service device.
