ATM ad software company signs contract with a large U.K. bank

May 11, 2011

I-design Group Plc, a leading designer of ATM advertising software, announced Wednesday that it has won a major contract to deploy their marketing software solution on Barclay Bank's entire ATM and kiosk network.

The contract involves supplying atmAd covers to London-based Barclay Bank's estate of around 4,000 ATMs and kiosks, said i-design officials.

"I am delighted to announce that Barclays has selected our technology after a rigorous tender process," said Ana Stewart, CEO of i-design. "We believe that our marketing solution provides unrivalled technological advantages and gives banks the flexibility and tools to unlock new ways of communicating and engaging with customers."

Following the implementation of the contract, i-design Group's total licensed ATM and self-service estate will increase from approximately 17,000 to 21,000 ATMs, of which 9,900 ATMs will be available for third-party advertising, company officials said.

Dundee, Scotland-based i-design signed an agreement last November with Cardtronics Inc., a Houston-based independent ATM deployer (IAD), to deploy its atmAd marketing platform on approximately 2,200 Vcom financial kiosks deployed in 7-Eleven stores in the United States.

I-design also has a contract with Bank Machine Ltd., Cardtronics' United Kingdom-owned subsidiary, to install the atmAd design platform on 800 Bank Machine ATMs.
