Carly Simenauer, a graduate of Emory Goziueta in Atlanta who studied industrial design at Georgia Tech, has launched a vending machine business, Stapt Vending, for feminine hygiene products, according to a hypepotamus report.
The machines, installed at Hotel Claremont and Ponce City Market, have a cashless, hands-free interface. Simenauer will also install a machine at Atlanta Tech Village in the near future.
Simenauer worked on the concept during Georgia Tech Create-X's 2020 and began working on the idea full-time after the program.
The company recently hired a technical engineer and is seeking people for engineering, fulfillment and interactive designer roles.
The company has attracted funds from Outlander Labs, an Atlanta venture capital firm, and other investors.
