Asteres names Pitney Bowes kiosk provider
August 21, 2008
STAMFORD, Conn. — Mailstream technology company Pitney Bowes will provide nationwide, on-site maintenance services and support for Asteres' automated prescription pick-up kiosks as well as its retail, healthcare and military customers.
According to a news release, Pitney Bowes will act as an independent service provider to Asteres for its ScriptCenter kiosks, which work like an ATM, allow consumers to pick-up and pay for their prescriptions when pharmacies are closed, or prevent customers from waiting in line when pharmacies are open.
The kiosks enable retailers to extend prescription pick-up hours without adding staff and alleviating long lines at the pharmacy counter.
