Self-service bill payment is touted for a number of reasons — enhanced customer convenience, improved efficiency for the retail operations and staff and providing a means for retailers to offer a service they might not otherwise have the capacity to spearhead on their own.
 
But in today's tough economy, before any retailer takes a leap to invest in a service or technology, he's going to ask himself, "How can this improve my bottom line?"
 
Here, Jim Bennett of U.S. Payments, tells Kiosk Marketplace how the use of self-service billpay kiosks can improve foot traffic and the amount of money patrons spend before and after they complete bill-payment transactions.
