Arrow, Polar Vision team to enhance displays

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Peripherals distributor Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE:ARW) and optical solutions manufacturer Polar Vision Inc., a division of DuPont Displays Co., have reached an agreement to manufacture and market optical components for flat panel displays.

The product line will include high-efficiency backlight systems, glass and plastic filters, vandal shields, and custom laminations. The goal is to provide greater readability and ruggedness for flat panel displays.

Arrow officials said the products would be marketed in the kiosk, point-of-sale, transportation, avionics, and medical fields.
