The Army is gung ho when it comes to installing food kiosks on bases and has opened 14 in the past few years and aims to open 13 in the next year.
The kiosks offer snacks to go (from chips to fruit to sandwiches) and can serve 1,000 service personnel a day, according to a Military.com report.
The kiosk push comes as bases are dealing with dining facilities challenges, according to the report.
The Army's Fort Carson base, in Colorado, boats the most kiosks with a third one launching next month.
