The Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency has installed a kiosk at the Cabot Public Library, at 909 W. Main St. in Cabot, Arkansas, that lets residents sign up to become organ donors as part of a state initiative to promote donor registration, according to an Arkansas Democrat Gazette report.
Patrons can register by holding a driver's license beneath the kiosk scanner using an iPad or iPhone, said Audrey Coleman, ARORA director of communications.
One donor can donate a heart, two lungs, two kidneys, the pancreas, the liver and the small intestine. They can also donate tissues, including the cornea or eye, bone, skin, cartilage, ligaments, veins and heart valves.
