ARCA has announced plans to transfer the assembly of CM18 cash recyclers from Italy to its manufacturing facility in Mebane, N.C. The company will continue to operate its manufacturing line in Italy, according to a news release.
The CM18 cash recycler automates cash in, cash out, balancing and inventory functions. An increase in the U.S. demand for this technology prompted ARCA and business partner CTS Cashpro to set up on-shore manufacturing.
By bringing assembly to North Carolina, ARCA will shorten its North American supply chain, thus creating a more efficient distribution model for the CM18 cash recycler, the companies said.
"Due to the increased adoption of ARCA's solutions, we've doubled the size of our manufacturing facility, added over 40 new jobs, and have worked diligently to bring a lean manufacturing philosophy to our organization," said ARCA founder and CEO Mort O'Sullivan. "We have committed investments of over $4 million and will continue to add jobs in our efforts to bring cash recycler manufacturing to North Carolina."
The Mebane assembly facility will be fully operational by April 2014.
