Apriva and Miura Systems to release EMV certification at Money20/20

Apriva and Miura Systems will be promoting an EMV certification at Money20/20 this month, supporting a dozen payment transaction types to global payments, according to an announcement by Miura. Miura Systems will exhibit at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 23-26 to promote and discuss the partnership. 

With this new EMV certification, merchants using Miura's M010 platform and the AprivaPay Plus app can accept payments via mobile, countertop, or in-store for 12 transaction types. This all-inclusive certification to global payments includes every major card brand—Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover—enabling the use of EMV chip card technology for both PIN debit and credit transactions. Specific transactions supported include:

  • Magnetic stripe readers (MSRs);
  • EMV contact signature;
  • EMV contact offline PIN;
  • EMV contact online PIN;
  • EMV contactless signature;
  • EMV contactless offline PIN;
  • EMV contactless online PIN;
  • Apple Pay;
  • Android Pay;
  • Samsung Pay;
  • PIN Debit MSR; and
  • PIN Debit EMV;

Apriva’s streamlined EMV-certified app, AprivaPay Plus, is geared towards small and mid-sized businesses, and can be used in any storefront or mobile venue. Beyond the transaction set included in this certification, the partnership between Apriva and Miura Systems introduces capabilities to securely manage all aspects of the device lifecycle, in particular market-leading, over-the-air key injection and full remote update—assuring retailers that they are future-proofed for any changes to EMV and other payment types. 

Leveraging Apriva’s Online Merchant Portal, AprivaPay Plus also allows businesses to measure and track purchases, manage inventory, and have a command-center view of information about their business.
