Revel Systems today announced the launch its iPad Marketplace for POS plug-ins, allowing customers to integrate third-party apps directly from the POS, increasing functionality and ROI, the company said in a press release.
Also as part of the Marketplace, Revel Systems announced its iPad POS solution can integrate into local daily deal APIs, including Groupon and LivingSocial, making the redemptions possible directly from the POS. The real-time, cloud-based system removes the barriers for virtual plug-ins at brick-and-mortar establishments, allowing them to easily connect online, according to the company press release.
Available plug-ins include solutions for online ordering (Zuppler), payment (LevelUp and Dwolla), gift and reward cards (Groupon, LivingSocial, GiveX, Valutec, Perkville), reporting (Ctuit), digital menus (Digital Menu Me), kiosk solutions, mobile payment and social media integration (Facebook and Twitter), the announcement said.
"We're delighted with our progress in our first year of operation," said Lisa Falzone, CEO and co-founder of Revel Systems. "Clearly, our iPad POS solution is the right product at the right time, taking advantage of a happy convergence of trends in technology and the marketplace. We’re excited to see what year two will bring for us and customers."
