Apollo Global Management eyes IGT’s global gaming division

Apollo Global Management, a private equity firm, is exploring the acquisition of International Game Technology's global gaming division, Bloomberg News recently reported.

The gaming unit could fetch $4 billion to $5 billion, including debt, according to unnamed individuals with knowledge of the matter.

An IGT spokesperson told Reuters the company is exploring strategic alternatives to its PlayDigital and global gaming segments but would not comment on speculation.
