BOULDER, Colo. - Anark Corp., which develops integrated media platforms that can be utilized in kiosk applications, has raised $5.8 million during a round of equity financing, mostly through venture capital funding.
Wolf Ventures, a Denver-based company that invests in technology companies in the Rocky Mountain region, and Murphee Venture Partners, an early-stage technology investor focused on the Southwest, were the leading investors in this round of funding. Anark expects to raise an additional $2.2 million in a second round of funding.
This round of funding will be used for marketing and sales efforts, staff expansion, and product development, according to an Anark news release.
Anark is the developer of the Anark Media Platform, which consists of three separate software systems for content authoring, content streaming, and real-time display and interactivity. The platform can be utilized in Internet, CD-ROM, DVD, multimedia, and kiosk applications.
