AML debuts KDT900 kiosk

August 18, 2009

AML, a developer and manufacturer of automated retail systems, has introduced the KDT900 touchscreen kiosk terminal. The company says the terminal is a general-use product with a wide variety of application possibilities.

According to a news release from AML, the KDT900 is power by Windows CE 5.0 and features a number of user input-output options, making it ideal for applications such as time and attendance, retail price-check or simply informational kiosks. Deployers also can customize the kiosk by adding a 1D or 2D barcode scanner, a magnetic stripe reader or an HID proximity card reader.

AML says the small-footprint kiosk will help retailers reach customers at a pivotal time:

Designed with today's cost-conscious retailer in mind, the new AML KDT900 is a user-friendly, full-feature kiosk system that delivers outstanding functional value in a compact, space-saving footprint. Featuring simple touchscreen navigation and a 5.6-inch full VGA color display, the KDT 900 allows retailers to display colorful graphics and messages that will engage customers and enhance the shopping experience – right at the point of purchase.
