NEW YORK -- American Express will launch a major national advertising and marketing campaign - including touchscreens in taxi cabs -- for its new Blue Cash credit card.
Introduced earlier this year as a line extension of Blue from American Express, Blue Cash is the company's newest card that combines the benefits of the original Blue with a valuable cash rebate incentive, according to a news release.
American Express will showcase Blue Cash through a complement of traditional and non-traditional marketing activities, including national and regional television ads, print, radio and interactive media.
A key component of the program is Sting Live at the Blue 5, a free, ticketed concert by recording artist Sting in Chicago's Grant Park on Oct. 7.
Taxis in Chicago will be outfitted with interactive touchscreens to announce the event and to advertise Blue Cash. American Express will promote Blue Cash with a high-impact media presence on the Internet, and engage audiences with a number of creative interactive elements, the release said.
