Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based American Changer Corp. has introduced a new Card Recycle Kiosk designed to help operators collect and reuse payment system cards. The compact unit can hold about 2,000 cards and is intended for placement in high-traffic areas such as exits. Customers can deposit used cards into the kiosk, allowing operators to reduce replacement costs by reusing them. The unit includes a locked front door, removable bin and floor-mount base, with optional add-ons such as a balance-check reader and customizable decals.
The company said the kiosk addresses a growing need for cost-efficient card management in unattended environments. By simplifying the collection process and enabling reuse, the system aims to streamline operations while reducing waste. American Changer manufactures a range of self-service payment equipment, including bill changers, token dispensers and card systems, all designed for 24/7 unattended use.
In a separate announcement, affiliated manufacturer Hoffman Mint has introduced a series of commemorative token designs marking the United States' 250th anniversary. The patriotic-themed designs can be paired with custom branding on the reverse side at no additional cost, offering operators a promotional or collectible option for customers. The tokens are intended for use in giveaways, marketing campaigns or as keepsakes tied to the milestone celebration.
