NEW YORK - American Airlines, which has distributed its OneStop Self-Service check-in kiosks at airline terminals nationwide in recent months, on Tuesday announced the unveiling of the kiosks at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Using a touch screen, passengers who have electronic tickets can use the kiosks to check in, pick a seat, and print out a boarding pass. The kiosks require either a credit card or American AAdvantage card. The kiosks are available alongside American check-in counters at Kennedy terminals eight and nine, across from the ticket counters at terminal nine, under the flight display monitors beyond the security area, and at gate 43 for passengers who do not have baggage to check in.
American currently offers 414 domestic and international flights per week out of Kennedy. The OneStop Self-Service check-in kiosks have been installed at 15 other airports nationwide, and the airline plans to roll the service out at more than 30 other airports in the next few months.
