Alex Richardson inducted into Self-Service & Kiosk Association's Hall of Fame

October 19, 2005

Alex Richardson, managing director of Selling Machine Partners LLC, was inducted into the Self-Service & Kiosk Association's Hall of Fame at Tuesday morning's annual meeting.

The founder and former chief executive officer of Netkey Inc., Richardson has two decades of experience with technology-related business. His teams have won over 40 industry awards, including the Top 100 InfoWorld Magazine Award for Technology, Frost and Sullivan's Market Engineering Award, and Kiosk magazine's Gold Software Award.

He is currently the co-holder of two technology patents, and is involved with a number of business and charitable organizations; notably, he has given his time to the Special Olympics International since 1987.

"There are a lot of people that deserve this more than I do," Richardson said. "It reminds me of George Allen, coach of the Washington Redskins, who said `I never lost a game, I just ran out of time.' So keep working hard."
