Alamo Rent-A-Car's Fun Finder Traveler's Kiosk

     Alamo's Fun Finder Kiosk is the first kiosk deployed using Sun Microsystems' newest internet appliance technology. The Sun Ray Appliance allows for ease of administration with the latest plug and play, thin client technology.An integral part of the Alamo Travel Center, it offers multilingual information, services, promotions, and discounts on the most popular events and services within a traveler's destination.

     Travelers renting cars from Alamo Rent-A-Car can now have access to a variety of local information, using a simple touch screen and the Sun Ray system. For example, travelers can print a directory of hotels, restaurants, department and specialty stores, and entertainment venues, complete travel-book-style descriptions of preferred locations with addresses, telephone numbers, driving directions and maps, all from the convenience of the Apunix kiosks. Also included are print-outs for promotions, and a web browser giving local, five day weather forecasts.

• Entertainment: Check out event calendars, information, directions, and maps to local attractions, shopping, nightlife, theater, and recreation.
• Weather: Web browser feature lets you get the local forecast for today or for the next five days!
• Promos: See and print great deals, travel incentives, and coupons for eating, staying, and playing.
