Alabama mall opens BellSouth bill-payment kiosks

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- BellSouth customers who want to pay their bills in person can do so at McFarland Mall. One Stop Financial Center, which came under fire last month for long payment lines, opened a second payment center last week at the mall.

According to an article in the Tuscaloosa Times, One Stop's owner, Jerry Carter, said his customers are pleased to have a second payment center.

"Let me tell you, from the smiles on their faces and the reception we're getting, I know we did the right thing," he said.

One Stop was processing hundreds of BellSouth payments from its space on McFarland Boulevard in Northport last month after it became the only authorized Tuscaloosa payment agent for BellSouth. Payments made at the kiosks are posted immediately.
