West AlabamaWorks has launched an initiative to connect local residents with job openings in the area, according to a WVUA 23 report.
The organization has installed kiosks in various locations throughout the region, providing easy access to job listings.
The latest kiosk was unveiled at the Piggly Wiggly on Alabama Highway 69 South. These kiosks offer a variety of job opportunities in industries such as healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing.
"We have over 500 jobs posted on these kiosks, and we average over 3,000 applications per month," Donny Jones, executive director of West AlabamaWorks, told the news outlet. "If you're looking for a job, these kiosks are a great resource."
In addition to the Piggly Wiggly, kiosks can also be found at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse, the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, local libraries and several schools in the Tuscaloosa County School System.
