Residents of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, will have access to library materials from three book vending machines, according to a Tuscaloosa Patch report.
The Tuscaloosa County Commission allocated $200,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding for the public library to purchase the machines.
The machines will cost $54,000 each, with the remainder of the funds set aside for inventory for the machines.
One library branch is expected to close, according to Commissioner Mark Nelson, who suggested the allocation.
The latest book vending machine was installed in August inside Northport City Hall.
