Alabama awards $1.2M for EV charging stations

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded $1.2 million for EV charging stations at five locations, according to a press release.

Funds came from appropriations by the state legislature under the state National Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Program. Most of the latest awards will support installations along the highways on the state's eastern corridor.

The state's department of economic and community affairs will administer the grants. The locations are listed on the department's website.
