Passengers flying Air New Zealand's trans-Tasman and Pacific Island routes now have access to self-service kiosks for boarding pass and baggage tag printing.
Machine-readable passports are compatible with the kiosks, which completes the printing process in 90 seconds. Passengers then take their luggage to a bag-drop area where staff will check and scan their bag tags and accept them for travel.
Air New Zealand Chief Operations Officer Bruce Parton said the 14 check-in kiosks will save passengers time, eliminate lines and improve the overall airport experience.
"The introduction of check-in kiosks in Melbourne is a further expansion of the innovative service that has revolutionized passengers' trans-Tasman travel experience," Parton said.
