TORONTO - Air Canada's Express Check-In kiosk service returned to operation on Oct. 2, one week after the system was suspended for the second time since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. The system was taken down on Sept. 25 for a security upgrade.
Air Canada's system is available at eight Canadian airports, including those in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The service allows passengers to check in, obtain boarding passes, and request upgrades.
Minimum check-in times for Air Canada flights have not changed. Passengers are advised to check in at least 30 minutes before express flights, one hour for other flights within Canada, 90 minutes before flights to the United States, and three hours before other international flights.
The airline is also accepting donations to the Canadian Red Cross's U.S. appeal. Flight attendants will distribute donation envelopes during flights through the end of October.
