Air Canada expands kiosk check-in

HALIFAX - Add Halifax International Airport to the list of Canadian airports where Air Canada'sExpress Check-In kiosk service is available.

The kiosks, which guide passengers through the check-in process, are now in place at eight Canadian destinations, including airports in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton and now Halifax, according to a news release issued by the airline.

Equipped with touch screens, boarding pass printers and card readers, the kiosks help passengers select seat assignments, find alternative flights, request upgrades and obtain boarding passes. The airline claims the kiosks reduce airport wait time for customers by 80 percent, and that 65,000 passengers use them weekly.
