Agreement will put 500 Wi-Fi hotspots in UK

LONDON and COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Canova Wireless and NetNearU Corp. announced an agreement to deploy Wi-Fi hotspots in over 500 locations throughout the United Kingdom within the next 12 months.

According to a news release, Canova is deploying these locations using the NetNearU wireless hotspot solution with TrackOS, which provides end-user authentication, translated end-user Web pages, billing in over 180 currencies, and overall system management.

Canova Wireless has already received the initial order for 120 locations, and is in the installation phase, the release said.

"The NetNearU wireless solution with TrackOS is the perfect operations support system management solution for quick deployment of Wi-Fi hotspots anywhere in the world," said Larry James, chairman and chief executive officer of NetNearU Corp.

Network operators who order a NetNearU wireless hotspot solution can quickly and easily generate revenue by simply adding a broadband Internet connection, the release said.

The turnkey features include equipment monitoring, revenue reporting, credit-card billing and customer support.
