According to the Miami Herald, kiosks intended to allow Miami-Dade county jail inmates to manage their own commissary accounts to buy toothpaste or snacks — or even file complaints against corrections officers — should be installed early in 2011, after software snags delayed their rollout by more than a year.
The program is part of a larger contract with Aramark Correctional Services to run the jail commissary.
