ActiveLight extends deadline for Digital Signage Award entries

January 3, 2005

SEATTLE - ActiveLight, Inc., a value-added distributor of advanced displays and dynamic signage solutions, announced a last call to all digital signage resellers, dealers and integrators to enter the first awards recognizing excellence in digital signage. All entries must be received by Friday, Jan. 28, according to a news release.

The newly named DIGI Awards include a $1,000 Visa Gift card to winners in each of nine categories.

"This is an opportunity for everyone involved in advancing digital signage to get the recognition they deserve," said Brad Gleeson, president of ActiveLight, Inc. "The DIGI Awards are just one of the ways ActiveLight is working to advance and raise the profile of the industry."

Entry information is available at www.activelight.com. Three awards will be made in each of three categories: retail, transportation and corporate installations. Each category will be divided into three divisions: under five screens, six to 25 screens and more than 25 screens.

The awards will be judged by five recognized journalists and leaders in the digital signage industry. In addition to the $1,000 Visa Gift card, the winners of each division will receive an engraved glass trophy, and a DIGI Award Winner 2005 graphic for use on Web sites and marketing materials. All partners involved in the software, content, fixture and hardware of the winning installations will also receive a certificate in recognition of their contribution.

The DIGI Awards, presented by ActiveLight and publishing sponsor Systems Contractor News, are the first industry awards recognizing the outstanding resellers, dealers and integrators of digital signage.
