DAVOS, Switzerland -- Tech services firm Accenture and manufacturer HP have teamed up to support the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting 2003, held in Davos Jan. 23-28.
Using a combination of kiosks and Davos Companions (HP iPAQ Pocket PCs), the event's 2,000 attendees will have access to wireless technology that will allow them to keep up with daily global news and e-mail messages.
Multiple kiosks placed strategically throughout the Congress Centre will enable participants to check their messages and schedules as they move from session to session.
In addition, plasma-screen bulletin boards will provide information on the latest activities at the meeting.
