About Kudos

Formerly known as Degasoft Ltd., Kudos Development Group Ltd. was founded in 1989 as a software development company. Since 1991, the company has participated in several large projects. One of the first kiosk projects Kudos participated in was in cooperation with the Icelandic Tourist Board in 1991.

Since beginning of 1997, the company has solely concentrated on development of its own Kiosk Software Platform named Kudos.

When the Internet revolution was in its early stages, Kudos realised the potentials that the new technology would have on the stagnating kiosk market at that time.

Before the Internet boom, the limited availability of electronic content to promote services or products was a restraining factor. This changed as well with the Internet, where it suddenly provided a variety of services through networked computers.

Operation of networked computers distributed over large geographical areas had been costly because no other infrastructure than direct dialup phone lines were available.

From the beginning of development of our own Kiosk Software Platform, the goal was to create a kiosk network management platform that would utilise opportunities arising for kiosks along side the Internet revolution.

Therefore, we at Kudos have with our focused and committed engineering team been determined in staying ahead with the development of our product.

In early 2000, Kudos formed a strategic alliance with Canadian TouchPoint. In the course of this alliance, the name of ASK! version 5.0 was changed to KUDOS.

In October 2000, Kudos released the full version of Kudos 5.0 Enterprise Package and a month earlier the Base Package of Kudos 5.0 was released. Six months later, Kudos released Kudos Version 6.0, loaded with new features. The Kudos software combines over 10 years of experience in the kiosk software field into the most complete and advanced kiosk software platform available.
