810 Zone selects Nanonation for cutting-edge restaurant concept

July 24, 2005

LINCOLN, Neb. - The 810 Zone, the first sports-themed restaurant to incorporate a sports museum, live radio broadcast booth, concert venue and interactive entertainment stations at each table, opened last month in Leawood, Kan.

To help create the experience, the 810 Zone partnered with software developer Nanonation to create tableside interactive digital entertainment systems at 25 booth locations within the restaurant. Guests interact with touchscreens that offer a variety of entertainment and information options. Guests can choose live video feeds from over 94 channels, play video games, or surf a variety of sports-themed Web sites. "The product is absolutely fantastic for families and people that are casually dining out. It's an overwhelming success and adds to the atmosphere," said Steve Woulfe, general manger of the 810 Zone.

The system allows the 810 Zone to incorporate in-house and sponsor promotions while the device is not in use and integrate advertising and promotions throughout the interface. The systems can be remotely monitored and managed to identify usage patterns and change content as required.

According to Edward Nelson, co-founder and chief executive officer, "The recent unveiling received rave reviews. The guests love the interactive system and parents love it because it keeps the kids busy. Overall this is absolutely incredible. Great Product."
