VALENCIA, Calif. - Kiosk manufacturer 1stKiosk has introduced a new kiosk system that features a high-resolution touch screen, Apple iMac computer, and a clear plastic display stand.
The KlearKIOSK interactive display kiosk is built around an iMac with a 500-700 MHz G3 Processor, AGP 2x video with 16MB SDRAM, a CD or CD-RW drive, and 20-60 GB internal hard drive. The touch screen is a pressure sensitive, resistive system with 4096 x 4096 points of touch. Company officials said the kiosk is capable of displaying projects developed for Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Red Hat Linux.
The system starts at $2,999 plus shipping and handling. The plastic display stand, called the iPEDESTAL, is available separately for $999 for companies that prefer to use their own iMacs.
1stKiosk is a joint venture between Apple Computers reseller Digital Resources and Apple developer T2D Inc.
