Hence, the future of retail can best be described as "phygital," a blending of the traditional physical and the emerging digital channels.

The Self-Service Innovation Summit, being held Dec. 14-16 in Hollywood, Florida, is addressing the issue in a panel session, "Phygital: Where Physical and Digital Intersect," at 10 a.m. on Dec. 15, in which experts will explore what brands are doing next to innovate their phygital customer experiences.
