The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) were building a new Tiger exhibit at the Bronx Zoo in New York and wished to provide an interactive information facility in various parts of the exhibit.
The rugged environment in which the kiosks were to be placed, in many ways dictated the solution. WCS had a difficult deployment environment that needed robust outdoor kiosks, that were daylight readable, water resistant, able to operate in extremes of temperature –very hot to well below freezing and could be located remotely from PC’s housed in a central location.
