A new weight loss kiosk concept from Denver-based SlimGenics that looks to make an impact on employee obesity. SlimGenics Weight Control Centers announced the launch of its WeighTM interactive kiosk, designed for placement at corporate offices to act as a virtual coach to employees trying to lose weight.

HealthSpot, a provider of health care technology, developed a system that provides remote medical diagnostics to patients. The HealthSpot Station is a private, walk-in kiosk that gives acute care patients live access to board-certified doctors, via high-definition videoconferencing and interactive digital medical devices.

The recent legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado and Washington seemed to trigger a trading frenzy for the MedBox, a vending machine-type dispensary of the drug, resulting in stocks soaring a staggering 3,000 percent in November. Although the company focuses primarily on medical marijuana, CEO Vincent Mehdizadeh said the temperature-controlled dispensing machines could also be used in prisons and 24-hour drug stores for a larger range of drugs.
