Kiosk software company's Middle East trip reveals industry trends

U.K.-based self-service software provider GenKiosk has released the findings from a research trip to Dubai, which sought to find industry trends and future requirements of kiosk providers, according to a company press release.
GenKiosk listed the following as results from the study:
- Kiosks offer the customer greater choice, as all the remittance providers are displayed in one location.
- Kiosks mean more competitive transfer rates; operators are able to react more quickly to market fluctuation.
- Kiosk providers can offer a value-added service, a more convenient way to transfer money.
- Kiosks keep customers better informed and in control of their remittance.
Kiosk usage has grown in popularity over the last few years, according to the release, with high growth areas in the Middle East and Pacific Rim.
