Scala adds Windows Vista support

• 02 Jul 2008

EXTON, Penn. – Scala, a provider of end-to-end solutions for the digital signage market, announced the availability of Scala InfoChannel 5, Release 3.1.

As Microsoft phases out Windows XP through some distribution channels over time, the major focus of Release 3.1 was Microsoft Windows Vista support for Scala InfoChannel Designer and Player. Any customers using Windows Vista will be able to run Scala InfoChannel effectively as long as they have installed Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 or Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1.

In addition to Vista support, Release 3.1 includes support for the Russian language, bringing the total of available translated languages for the InfoChannel platform to nine (English, French, Spanish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, Russian and Korean). Scala also supports on-screen text in over 70 languages.
