AVT Inc. announced that its Rug Doctor self-service rental kiosks have shipped to more than 3,000 Walmart stores nationwide.

The systems were designed and built by AVT in collaboration with Rug Doctor to allow customers to rent and return carpet-cleaning equipment without the need of employee assistance, the announcement said.

"We have years of experience in design integration, and the ability to create customized automated retailing solutions for companies of all sizes to sell products of all types," said Shannon Illingworth, founder and chairman of AVT. "We can meet the needs of large customers, and can help companies of all sizes create innovate methods to grow their profits through automated retailing."
