San Francisco-based Lilitab announced the upcoming release of an integrated card reader for its iPad line of kiosks. 
The Lilitab Swipe extension makes mobile POS more secure for customers, according to a company press release, giving assurance that a bolted-on device is not skimming their personal data.
The Lilitab Swipe is offered as an unencrypted or encrypted option and features Unique Key Per Transaction (DUKPT) management. The device also can read AAMVA formatted driver's licenses, in addition to bank and credit cards, the announcement said.
Other features of the Lilitab enclosure include a continuous power source provided by the built-in charging cable and secure mounting that can lock the tablets in place in a variety of settings. Lilitab Swipe has full ADA compliance, providing access to customers with disabilities.
