A new series of cost-effective TVL industrial flat panel digital signage displays will be added to the Kyocera Display linecard of long-term industrial displays, according to an announcement from official Kyocera Display distributor Display Solution AG.
The TFT module selection of 3- to 14-inch displays addresses the specific requirements of future digital devices, the company said. Enabled by a slimmed-down specification and optimized production processes in high volumes, the TFTs provide high screen visibility and contrast for an affordable price point, according to the announcement.
"While we continue offering our high-end displays to our key market segments such as automotive, medical and industry," said Eberhard Schill, distribution sales manager for Kyocera Display Europe, "we want to extend our position in emerging markets. The new product strategy also enables the replacement of out-of-date monochrome technology through modern color TFTs."
The TVL Value Line displays are designed for deployment in high volume premium indoor applications such as tablet PCs, digital door signs or vending machines.
